The adoption fee helps cover the cost of these vetting procedures. <br/><br/>The majority of our cats/kittens are in foster care and we must be respectful of the foster family's time. An approved application is required prior to setting up the meet and greet. After the meeting, if you believe you have met your new family member, you would be able to take them home the same day.<br/><br/>Please know that we do vet checks and property checks on all our applicants. If you have pets currently, all pets must be current on ALL MAINTENANCE VETERINARY CARE AND ALTERED. (This includes core vaccines, heartworm testing and prevention for dogs, virus testing for cats). We check deeds and call landlords to ensure the cat is allowed on your lease. <br/><br/>VETTING INFORMATION CAN BE PROVIDED BY YOUR VET (WE WILL CALL THEM) OR BY SUBMITTING THE PAPERWORK BUT IT MUST BE VERIFIED. If you have a pet that has been deceased within 2 years, we will also need to verify that pet was current on all medical care or as recommended by your veterinarian at the time of their passing.
