Bandit- Courtesy Post's Story
Courtesy Post-
12 year old kitty
Quiet home needed
No other dogs or cats
See description and contact info below

The little butterball in the picture below is Bandit. Bandit is a 12 year old male. He has been neutered and microchipped, and he is up to date on his rabies vaccinations.

He was owned as a kitten by my roommate's nephew. His name was Niko then. My roommate suspects her nephew may have mistreated Bandit. My roommate took him when he was a few months old, and that's when she renamed him Bandit.

Bandit is still a little afraid of men to this day. He hides under the bed when visitors come, male or female. The exception is my female neighbor. She came in a couple of times to feed the cats, and now she is Bandit's best buddy. The way to his heart is through his stomach, lol.

My roommate moved into my house in 2014 with Bandit and his older sister Buttons. I had to learn his quirks. The only time he bites or scratches is if you pet him too long or too hard.

When my roommate adopted Bandit, she already had Buttons, her other cat. Bandit could be a little bossy with Buttons. He likes to play rough, chasing and pouncing on her. He didn't understand when she became elderly. But he never fought.

Occaissionally, he would try to chase his sister away from the food or water, but he didn't fight, and we got him to back away. Other times, if they got some milk as a treat, he would wait for her to drink the milk first.

Now that I have known Bandit for a few years, he gets on my lap. He loves to get brushed. The trick is to be very quiet and gentle with him.

I can't afford to keep my house. I am moving in with my niece, and her dogs are aggressive toward cats. My roommate was only allowed one cat where she was going. Buttons is elderly and frail, so she took Buttons with her. I wish I could take Bandit with me, but I can't.

He would be perfect in a quiet house with females only and no other animals. If there are other cats, it's best if they are playful and outgoing. Then if he he tries to chase or pounce on them, they can give it right back to him. And then, I wouldn't be surprised if he ran under the bed, lol.

Thank you for reading this very long narrative, and thank you for giving Bandit an opportunity to have a new home.

Nancy
609-435-7887
nanlujan30@gmail.com
