Bandit's Story

Meet Bandit

Almost 6 years old | Large & In Charge | Professional Food Enthusiast

Bandit is a 6-year-old big boy with an even bigger heart and a purr/trill that sounds exactly like a tiny T. rex. Imagine a dinosaur who loves snacks, cuddles, and positive reinforcement. That’s Bandit.

He loves food. Loves it. Thinks about it. Dreams about it. Will absolutely remind you if he believes it is time to eat (or if he believes it should be time to eat). The good news? Bandit has already lost 5 pounds and is doing AMAZING. He still has more to go, but he’s proof that slow, steady progress works. He will go home with his full weight-loss plan, scale, and all the tools you need to keep him successful. No special diet required — just portion control and someone who can resist the T. rex begging noises.

Bandit came to us as an owner surrender in very rough shape, but he has absolutely blossomed. He’s been fully groomed, updated on vaccines, dewormed, and is feeling better than he has in years. Through it all, he has remained incredibly affectionate and sweet. This cat just wants love — and he gives it freely.

He’s great with the litter box, enjoys playtime, and does okay with other cats, though he can occasionally throw his weight around like a friendly but oblivious linebacker. He would do best in a home with no dogs, as they make him nervous.

A few housekeeping notes: Bandit still can’t quite reach his butt to clean it properly, so occasional assistance may be needed (he is deeply offended by this, but cooperative). He also sometimes gets a slightly leaky eye that just needs a gentle wipe now and then. Otherwise, he’s an absolute gem.

Bandit is the kind of cat who follows you around, purrs like a small prehistoric creature, and looks at you like you’re his entire world. His adoption fee has been generously sponsored by our donors, so he’s ready to head home with the right person.

If you’re looking for a loving, goofy, food-motivated companion who will appreciate every bit of care you give him, Bandit is ready to meet you.
