BALBOA's Story

Meet Charleston, a confident little gentleman who walks into every room like he already belongs there. Whether he Is chasing toys, showing off his acrobatic moves, or stretching out for a nap, he approaches life with curiosity and confidence. Once he has finished exploring, he is happy to crawl into a lap, cuddle with one of his siblings, or find a comfortable spot where he can observe everything happening around him.<br/>Charleston would thrive in just about any home, but his dream would include other pets, plenty of toys, and humans who dont mind making room for a kitten in their lap. Hes playful, affectionate without being demanding, and always ready for the next adventure.

Rhode Island Feline Rescue's Adoption Policy
We have a very detailed Adoption Application as well as an adoption coordinator system. Once an application is received, it will be reviewed by the adoption coordinator, vet records confirmed, residence status, renting/landlord information, pet permission, and employment verified then the coordinator conducts an interview with the potential adopter. If deemed a good match, the adoption coordinator forwards the information about the potential adopter to the foster. If the foster also agrees then they will have a meet and greet. At the completion of the meeting, if both parties agree the cat/kittens is a good fit an adoption contract is signed, and the adoption fee paid. We do not adopt on a first come, first served basis. All the cats and kittens in our care receive the following: checkup, spay/neuter, rabies & distemper vaccines, de-worming medicine, flea preventative, microchip, and Felv/FIV test.
