I was rescued as a single kitten from a property where I had a large extended feline family but somehow ended up all by my lonesome. Luckily, I was rescued and brought to a loving foster home where I learned all about the comforts and safety of indoor life…soft blankets, a warm bed, tasty treats, a full belly, and the joy of having kitty friends and humans that love me. One kitty in particular is Cici, she and I remain the best of friends, and I would love to be adopted with her. Cici and I never skip a beat. I cuddle her, groom her, and she happily soaks up all my love.<br/><br/>I have an easy-going personality, am confident and affectionate. I seek out love and attention from my humans and look forward to nightly snuggles on the couch. Belly rubs are a favorite and I will purr with gratitude. Giving kitty kisses and making biscuits are ways I display my love and contentment, while sweet chirps and trills are signs of my excitement and joy, all of which add to my expressive charm.<br/><br/>Play time is one of my favorite activities and I live for the laser light! That magical little red dot will keep me entertained for hours! Funny thing, I like to hunt toy mice and fuzzy toy balls, and it’s very common for me to catch my prey and carry it in my mouth, while chasing that little red light all at the same time! Just one of my silly antics that will make your heart smile. I also enjoy watching cat TV, climbing kitty trees, and being offered tasty wet food! <br/><br/>My new family will hopefully understand that meeting new people and exploring a new environment can feel stressful at first, and it may take me a few days to settle in. Patience, understanding and of course irresistible Churu treats, or Temptation snacks are wonderful ways to help me warm up. Wand toys and interactive laser play are also great ways to gain my trust. I currently live in a quiet foster home, so I would likely settle most easily in a calmer environment. Once I feel safe, you will definitely see my loving nature, playful spirit and gentle soul. They will give you full details as to personality, background, quirks, likes/dislikes, ETC. Since adopting a pet is a commitment for the next 15-20 years, you want as much information as possible to make the best decision. <br/><br/>***Private, quiet meet & greets<br/>You get to visit the kittens in their own current environment where they run free so their true personality shines through. Our kittens aren’t subjected to noisy stores and stressful cages and you won’t be competing with other annoying people for your desired kittens. <br/><br/>***Quality over Quantity <br/>We are a small rescue so we can focus on each kitten individually to provide personalized medical & socialization protocols. Because we do not overcrowd, our cats do not pass contagious diseases to each other.<br/><br/>***Veterinary Care<br/>We balance a mix of holistic & conventional protocols to keep our kittens healthy. We use high quality disease preventatives & medication when necessary. Mission Meow only wants the best medical care for our kittens, so we don’t skimp on those costs AT ALL. We work closely with our vet to come up with a plan for any kittens who may be ill and to prevent any unnecessary and over medicating. Three local veterinarians have adopted from us after observing the quality of our kittens. <br/><br/>***Food<br/>Our kittens are nourished with high-quality food. We ‘ve been offered free /discounted food from other companies but we choose to use the best option even if it costs more for us. <br/><br/>***Resident Pet/Child Safety <br/>While no one can guarantee the health of any living being, we do our best to make sure your adopted kitten does not have any issues such as parasitic worms that can be passed on to your resident pets or children. We have a very thorough deworming protocol using the best products on the market and the proper duration. Most places adopt kittens while they are in between showing signs of intestinal worms. Not us. <br/><br/>***Post Adoption Support<br/>It is extremely rare that we have any issues post adoption, but if there were any that presented themselves, we would work with you towards a resolution. A response is usually given with 24-48 hrs. if we think it's a potentially good match. <br/><br/>INTERVIEW:<br/>An adoption counselor will contact you via phone to answer any questions and if it seems like a good fit, arrangements will be made for all parties to meet with desired cat(s) at a mutually agreeable time. <br/><br/>APPROVAL:<br/>If adoption is approved, a contract and adoption fee to cover veterinary costs will be required. You will be given medical files.<br/><br/>TIME FRAME:<br/>Based on volunteer availability, it is possible for all adoption steps to be completed the same day, however, it is not guaranteed. Please note that occasionally a home check, vet records/references, etc may be required and multiple people may be interested in the same cat(s) so additional time may be necessary. You are also welcome to get the kitten an appointment with your own veterinarian at your expense prior to adoption, just be aware that may delay the adoption by several days. <br/><br/>WHY:<br/>Our adoption vetting process ensures a proper feline fit for your family. You may be a wonderful pet owner but may not be the best fit for a particular cat, or other extenuating circumstances. Also, YOU may know you are a good pet owner, but we don't. We exist because too many people view pet ownership as casual or disposable so we want to be sure the best match is made for the next 15-20 years.
