Bagheera's Story

Meet Bagheera
Bagheera is our miniature black panther — a sleek, quiet, deeply sensitive 4–5‑year‑old boy who bonds slowly but loves deeply. At first, his timidity may fool you. He prefers calm spaces, soft voices, and predictable routines, and he’ll likely choose a safe hiding spot while he figures out his new world. But once he trusts you, his true heart shows up in the sweetest ways.
At night, Bagheera becomes a gentle companion, snuggling close and sleeping near his person. He shows affection with soft head butts and welcomes pets, chin scratches, and even belly rubs once he feels safe. He’s not a vocal kitty, so you’ll have to listen closely for his quiet purrs — they’re worth it.
In his foster home, it took about a week before he felt brave enough to come out during the day. He is a very timid cat, but with patience and consistency, we believe he’ll continue to grow into a cat who spends more time in the main living areas. He would do best in a calm home with one or two adults who appreciate a gentle, introverted companion. A slow introduction to his new home will be essential for his success.
Bagheera is up‑to‑date on vaccines, litter‑box trained, and enjoys both wet and dry food. His foster is a winter visitor and will be heading back north at the end of this month, so **time is of the essence** for this sweet boy to find his forever home.
If you’re looking for a quiet, loyal companion who will reward your patience with deep trust and tender affection, Bagheera may be your perfect match.

Bagheera is an internet only kitty, he will host prospective adopters by appointment only. So if you are interested in this handsome man, please fill in an adoption consultation form through our website:
https://www.desertpawsrescue.org/cat-adoption-consultation-form/
