Baeorn's Story

How this pet arrived:Baeorn was brought in by his previous owner on March 5, 2026.Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Baeorn! Baeorn is a sensitive soul who requires a patient, understanding adopter willing to provide the calm and quiet environment he needs to thrive. When first entering our care, Baeorn displayed significant stress; however, these responses have notably reduced as he has had time to settle in and form trusting relationships with familiar caregivers. Because he continues to exhibit a fear of strangers and may struggle with transitions, he is best suited for a home with children aged 8 years and older who can respect his need for space. To set Baeorn up for success, his new family should focus on low-pressure interactions and proximity-based relationship building. Offering treats and engaging in delicate play are excellent ways to bond, though it is essential to let him initiate contact at his own pace. His home environment must include various accessible hiding places, both high and low, where he can feel secure while observing his surroundings. In his previous home, Baeorn was known to run and hide for a week or more before warming up, so an extended acclimation period is mandatory. Please be sure to bring a secure cat carrier for his journey.Shy/Fearful Cat: Baeorn requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about them. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 15.4lbs Age: 4yrs 8mths 4wks Animal has been Neutered
