Hi… I’m Baby Ruth. <br/>Sweet like candy… but I take a little time to unwrap.<br/><br/>I’ve been at the sanctuary for quite a few years now. When I first got here, I was not a fan of humans. I thought you were weird… maybe even a little gross. I kept my distance and made it very clear that I preferred things that way.<br/><br/>But with time, patience, love… and let’s be honest, plenty of snacks… something changed. I started to trust. And underneath all that fear? There I was… the sweet girl I was always meant to be.<br/><br/>Now, I won’t pretend I’m instantly outgoing. I’m still shy when meeting new people, and in a new home I’ll need time to adjust. My future family will need to understand that I won’t blossom overnight… but if you give me that chance, I promise I am so worth the wait.<br/><br/>Because once I’m comfortable with you… oh, that’s when the magic happens. <br/>I have the cutest little meow… I use it to let you know when I’d like some pets. And when you start petting me? Don’t plan on going anywhere… because I’ll follow you around asking for more and more love. Sometimes I’ll even reach out my paw like, “Excuse me… you forgot something… ME.”<br/><br/>I don’t mind being held for short periods, but I’m more of a “love me on my terms” kind of girl. You’ll often find me stretched out with my arms all sprawled on a cozy bed or perched on a cat tree, soaking up the sunshine like it’s my job.<br/><br/>I’m a beautiful tuxedo lady with gorgeous amber eyes, and I get along great with other cats… I’d really love a home with a feline friend to help me feel safe and confident.<br/><br/>Oh! And I recently had a dental, so my smile is fresh, clean, and ready to win you over. <br/><br/>If you’re someone who understands that the sweetest bonds take time… and you’re willing to let me come to you at my own pace… I think you’ll fall in love with me before you even realize it.<br/><br/>Come visit me daily from 1–5pm.<br/>I’m sweet… you just don’t know it yet. <br/><br/>My new perfect family NEEDS to understand that it WILL take me a while to adjust at first and I WILL hide as I settle in. Give me time, patience, and use food as a tool to get me out of my shell — I really am a wonderful cat.<br/><br/>I am fully vetted: spayed, microchipped, FIV & FeLV negative, treated for fleas/ticks/and intestinal parasites, and up-to-date on all my vaccinations: distemper, rabies, and FeLV.
