Baby Grayson's Story

BABY GRAYSON
GRAY & WHITE DSH
DOB: @05/05/2025

Little Baby Grayson was a neighborhood kitten that the children found and played with as he grew. No one knew where he came from or where his mother or the rest of his family was but he came out to be fed, held and petted by the children and the neighbors in a Gahanna neighborhood.

As the weeks went on, he stayed outside the homes waiting for food and for people to come out and hold him and pet him. At night he found cover and a safe place to sleep. He was just a baby so it couldn't have been easy. But no one took him in. We received a call about him saying that the neighborhood kitten was sick and needed help. That his eye was infected and we needed to take him because it was "really bad".

When our volunteer arrived they couldn't believe it. His eye was much worse than expected. It was bulging and infected and looked like it was ready to burst. We rushed him to MedVet where they began treatment in an attempt to save his eye. For almost a week it was treated with medication and ointments designed to treat the infection and the inflammation. He had to wear a cone (as a little 10-week-old kitten) for that week and take medicine, have his eye treated and never once did he stop purring when someone was holding him. He was the sweetest little boy. We wanted to save his little eye...but in the end we couldn't.

On July 29th Baby Grayson's left eye was removed and he came home purring and as sweet as ever. This little 12 week old kitten has the heart of a lion. He loves big and loves the other kittens he is living with in his foster home...but most of all he loves people. If you want a super sweet and super special boy, Baby Grayson is the perfect baby for you!

If you are interested in learning more about this sweet kitty, please complete an online adoption application at https://form.jotform.com/223107373504044

We do not have a shelter or sanctuary. All pets are cared for in volunteer foster homes until they are adopted.

We require a home visit as part of the application process. We are only able to coordinate home visits where we have local volunteers.

NOTE: PetPromise requires that young kittens be adopted in pairs unless you have an existing kitten or young cat at home. This policy is intended to ensure that the kittens we rescue, nurture, and love are adopted into homes that offer the best possible environment for their social development. Most rescue groups have similar policies regarding kittens. Click here to learn more about why this is important: http://petpromise.org/singlekitten

Also, PetPromise requires all pets be spayed or neutered and fully vaccinated before adoption. However, if you are interested in a particular kitten you may apply to adopt the kitten and once approved, you may enter into a Foster to Adopt Agreement whereby you agree to foster the kitten for PetPromise until PetPromise has the kitten fully vaccinated and spayed. Once the vet care is complete an official adoption will be completed.
