BABY's Story

An unusual Buff and White color, beautiful BABY was brought to the shelter, along with four other cats, by a family member after her guardian went into hospice care. The person who surrendered the cats had little information about them. We do not know how BABY feels about children or dogs. She is so shy, she is hiding at the shelter and seldom comes out while anyone is around. She does like pets, but she will not come for them. She seems so afraid of everything.

BABY, given her nervous nature, needs a quiet home as an only pet. She may still be grieving her long-time companion, or she just isn't dealing with the chaos of shelter life. She needs an older quiet home without much chaos. Children should be 12 or older and need to understand BABY's shy nature. They need to know to use gentle pets, soft voice, and sudden moments. They also need to understand that even once BABY is comfortable, she may never be a playmate, but once she trusts that she is safe and loved, she may become a snuggle buddy and blossom into the loving kitty she was and is meant to be. Imagine how it will feel the first time sweet, shy BABY jumps into YOUR lap for a pet and a nap!

DOB-03/2014 Entered Shelter-03/2025

Check out her video on TikTok!

If you would like to adopt BABY, please visit the shelter during Adoption Hours, Mondays and Wednesdays, 4:00pm to 7:00pm, Saturdays, 10:00am to 1:00pm, or call 231-773-3030 to make an appointment.
