Baboo's Story

Baboo is a sweet little lady, just as unique and special as the adorable spot on her face. Baboo loves to give head butts and rub her cute face all over your hands for attention. She has a strong purr and rolls around showing off her belly. At night she sleeps on the bed with you, she curls up in her own little spot on the couch too.

Her meows are the cutest little chirps and she’s very good at talking to you and letting you now what she wants. She’s lived with cats and clam dogs and she enjoys the companionship of a feline friend. She has important kitty things to do and sometimes wants to play more than cuddle. She prefers to keep her paws on the bed, couch, or cat tree then to be held and cuddled but she still shows you a lot of love just more on her terms!

Baboo is from the island of Nevis in the Caribbean, where Alexander Hamilton was born. She appeared one day after a big storm, she needed to gain weight and had found her way to a colony with a sweet caretaker who took her in and got her spayed. We brought her to the US on a big Wings of Rescue flight.

Baboo is 1-2 years old. She’s been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and tested negative for FIV and FeLV.

We have an adoption application that can be downloaded at https://operationgitmeow.com/documents and emailed to operationgitmeow@gmail.com to begin the adoption process. Please check the listings for each cat/kitten to see where they are currently being fostered, if they’re part of a bonded pair, or require a pet companion. We charge a $140 adoption fee ($240 for a bonded pair) which pays, in part, for the veterinary care and transport costs required to rescue cats from Cuba. We only adopt out cats/kittens who have been spayed/neutered and who have been tested for FIV and Feline Leukemia. All adoptable cats/kittens will be microchipped and up to date on their shots. We will always take back one of our adopted cats if the adopter can no longer care for them.
