Oh I’ve had a real hard time- let me try to tell you about it. <br/><br/>Hi- I’m Babe and I am a pretty tuxedo girl with cheeks that you just want to squeeze and the most beautiful and expressive eyes!! <br/><br/>I’m 8 years old and I am here adjusting still. . I’m still too scared for patting - but if you watch my body language close, you can see I really do want to open up and trust and be loved and pet…I am just so nervous and still afraid to trust.<br/><br/>. So here’s the deal- no one has been able to pet me yet since I’ve been her, because I’m so scared and will hiss and run away. … but I can be a flirt and show you that I want to be loved- but right now the shelter is making me very scared- so I’m still adjusting. <br/><br/>Right now they are working with me with treats and a back scratcher that I have met them touch me and caress my face with <br/><br/>It’s hard being an older girl, who had a home for a long time and now my world is turned upside down and I’m in a shelter. I am in a large kennel with an attached outside catio- I like that so much and I have a kennelmate!! I want to feel safe and secure in a new loving home of my own. I would want my owner(s) to be patient with me, as I will need time to fully blossom. <br/><br/> A quiet home would be best for me and no dogs or small children, as loud noises scare me. Please come meet me, give me a chance and take me to your loving fabulous home!! <br/><br/>OK Babe , our turn! She will just need time and patience and love to trust and fully blossom, and show her true personality. She will need a quiet and patient home- so she can learn to trust and open up. Filling out an adoption application is always the first step. You can also call the shelter at 401-294-1115 with any questions. Currently, visits to the shelter are by appointment only for approved applications, so please fill out an application, then email it into us . Or, if you prefer, you can print it out on paper, fill it out, and drop it off. The manager will be in touch with you about an appointment for a visit, once your application has been approved.
