Ava's Story

Ava
Est DOB: 10.21.17
Sex: Female

Before coming to her current foster home, Ava lived a hard life in a cat colony where she raised litter after litter of kittens before she was rescued. She even helped care for another litter of abandoned kittens found in an alley. Sweet Pea, who arrived in foster with her, is her daughter.

Due to having had so many kittens, Ava’s stomach is a bit round — but we love a curvy girl 💛 After spending so much of her life caring for everyone else, it’s finally Ava’s turn to receive the love and safety of a forever home.

Since arriving in foster care, Ava has adjusted wonderfully to indoor life. She is a lovely, friendly, calm, and gentle girl who likes to take a moment to observe before engaging. She can be a little cautious at first, but once she decides she feels safe — and it doesn’t take long — she happily approaches and leans in for pets and affection.

Ava has the sweetest little chirpy meow and can be quite chatty when she’s content. She may occasionally give a tiny “love nip” when she’s feeling excited, but with her recent dental work these are harmless. While she hasn’t chosen a lap just yet, she loves sitting beside you for pets and companionship.

When not napping, Ava enjoys gentle play and especially likes batting at the ball tower, plastic springs, and stuffed mice. It’s very sweet to watch her quietly entertain herself with her favourite toys. She also has impeccable litter box manners.

Ava gets along well with other cats and adapts easily. She has not been tested with dogs, but a calm and respectful dog would likely be okay. She would very much enjoy being adopted with her daughter Sweet Pea, as the two of them spend hours curled up together and grooming each other.

Loud noises can startle her, so a quiet, calm household would be ideal. She would likely do best in an adult home or with older, respectful children who can give her the time, patience, and space she needs to fully blossom.

Ava is such a sweet, resilient cat who has been through a lot and truly deserves a home where she can feel safe, loved, and cherished. She is going to be a very special companion for someone who appreciates a gentle, thoughtful cat.

Location: Foster Home-Surrey

FILL OUT AN APPLICATION HERE-
www.cattherapyandrescue.com/adopt/
