Meet Ava

Enjoy our video capturing something you've never quite seen (or heard) before! Ava has acquired the nickname "Stomp-y," because she has the most unique way of locomotion that is all her own! She lifts her paws up in such a graceful and dainty way, somewhat like a horse does when trotting, and it makes a gentle percussive sound on her foster's wood floors.

Ava is a delightful character – mellow but feisty, playful yet peaceful, loving and affectionate yet independent.

Ava was taken in by Tucson CARES as a stray, declawed cat living among a small feral colony. She is happy to be back experiencing the comforts of a home and indoor living.
