Autumn's Story

Autumn was found in an HEB pumpkin patch as a tiny kitten. Cold and hungry, she was taken in, fed, and loved. As she grew older, she became much more shy and reserved. We believe she would do well in a family with no other animals or perhaps a cat or two. She even has lived with a large dog and 3 kids her whole life. She just does not like a lot of activity. She is a very loving cat who expresses her appreciation modestly. You will love Autumn. Before going home, Autumn will be, - House-trained - Spayed - Microchipped - Vaccinated, including rabies vaccine - Indoors-only - FIV/FELV tested Adoption fee $200

Cat Haven Rescue's Adoption Policy

The application is reviewed. Anything that is alarming will cause the application to the denied and the potential adopter will be notified of the reason why. Adopters must be 18 years old and employed unless married to a working spouse. If the application looks good, we ask to follow up with a phone interview to go ove questions that we both may have. Our adoption application also includes resources such as how to introduce cats to dogs, toxins that are toxic to cats, etc. We go over those requested info packets. We make sure that the cat can be housed at the home (ownership or a letter of approval from landlord to house a cat). We also ensure that they are equipped with the correct set up for the cat and have a carrier ready for adopting the cat. Adopters cannot take a cat home unless they have a carrier. We also have a meet and greet set up at a cat lounge. When approved, the adopter must pay the adoption fee that goes into the rescue in supporting the rest of the cats.
