Autumn, a gentle & graceful Fall beauty (bonded brother, Bounty)

Hello there, friend! Thanks for stopping by!

At Hobbes Haven our mission is to help shape & support a better life for feral & stray cat colonies in our varying communities of the Columbia River Gorge.

We want to introduce you to Autumn, (please see my bonded brother, Bounty)

Autumn is a gentle & graceful Fall beauty through and through. This sweet, calm and delicate girl emits a queenly look as you catch her posing whenever she stops playing. Her gorgeous coloring makes her look like the personification of Fall- the orange, brown with hints of cream, white and black along with her soft medium coat make you feel like you're ready to cuddle for sweater weather! Autumn's affection is completely learned as she was rescued when she was around a month old, so when she first arrived to Hobbes Haven she was a timid girl who wanted to trust humans, it only took devotion and time. She now rubs up against your ankles and loves to be rubbed, especially a good scratch over her hips above her tail. The original plan for Autumn and her brother Bounty were for them to be returned to their outdoor colony (which is why they both have a clipped left ear), but because they were rescued from a warehouse environment we decided that it was not a good option for them to be returned, so this nudged us to keep them at our shelter, which opened up to be the best path for them because it allowed both kittens a chance to soften and become more people friendly.

Autumn her two siblings were rescued ove the span of a month from a warehouse site out in The Dalles, Oregon, back in late June and early July 2026. A very kind woman who works the night shifts at the warehouse noticed the mama cats running around and she started secretly leaving food out because she noticed how thin they looked. Soon after she noticed the kittens running after their moms for the food! These rescues took a lot of dedication, especially from the person who contacted Hobbes Haven, because they would put the traps out when they arrived for their shift around 7pm, then feed the cats around 2-2:30am and try to catch them then or at the end of her shift around 5am- these rescues could have been impossible without her help because much of the waterfront area is fenced off to the public and you need to have a more direct access to even be able to reach the colonies. This is the definition of a dedicated caregiver working with a rescue to help these defenseless animals.

Due to them being rescued together and tamed for domestication alongside one another, they have endured growth together that has bonded them. Our goal is for Autum to be adopted her bonded brother, Bounty.

Currently we have an estimated guess that Autumn was born early June. her adoption fee will cover:
- Her spay surgery: ensuring he will have a healthy future!
- x3 FVRCP vaccines- the full kitten series
- 1 year rabies vaccine
- x3-4 deworming treatments
- Flea bath & month-long flea protection
- Nail trims
- Microchip with a lifetime subscription
-----

We hope to find families that will keep in touch with Hobbes Haven and update us with pictures and videos of our rescued friends! Remember that many times we have been fostering these kittens for many months, and that is another reason you know Hobbes Haven is a good-hearted organization to support, because our goal is to find the RIGHT homes, NOT a home RIGHT NOW.
Here at Hobbes Haven we focus on supporting the health and well-being of feral and stray cat colonies via T-N-R-M (Trap- Neuter- Return- Monitor); if we encounter kittens or cats young enough or friendly enough to domesticate, we rescue them from those sites and work with them directly to get them healthy and ready for a second chance at life as a part of a family and a home. Our rescued cats and kittens are unique being that they were born as feral or stray cats, meaning it took more time and involvement to domesticate them may than others. When you support Hobbes Haven via your adoption and donations, you are helping a bigger ripple effect, because you are supporting existing feral cat colonies stop their cycle of suffering by getting all colony cats sterilized and vaccinated, but also offering a very rare second chance to a few lucky ones.
At Hobbes Haven, your adoption fee helps us cover this Cinder's first veterinary care at one of our collaborating veterinary clinics in the Columbia River Gorge.

Up to the point of adoption, Hobbes Haven has covered all expenses out of pocket- your donations help us cover these collective costs and truly make a difference!

------

Interested in adopting Autumn ?
1. Email us via this link or at HobbesHaven@gmail.com- please allow 24-48 hours for a response.
2. Catch us at one of our upcoming Adoption Clinics held at our collaborating veterinary clinics- follow our socials to learn about the next ones coming up!
3. Make an appointment to meet us virtually and see these rescued kittens in a relaxed and comfortable state.

** Note: We are looking for the right families seeking a bonded pair of kittens- our preference for the benefit of the rescued kittens is for them to have a sibling to grow alongside with, this is for their acclimation to their new home and for their overall quality of life.*
