Autumn's Story
Hi… my name is Autumn!
I’m a very sweet little girl with a gentle heart and a story that took time to write. I came here from another rescue many years ago, and I’ll be honest with you, I was feral and very afraid of people. Trust didn’t come easily for me. It took years… yes, years… of patience, love, and a whole lot of food before I finally realized humans could be kind.

Because of that, my future family will need to understand me. When I go home, I will hide. I will be scared at first. I won’t adjust overnight, but with time, consistency, and snacks (especially snacks), I promise I’ll start to come out of my shell. I’m extremely food motivated and will do many impressive things for lickable treats.

I’m a very pretty calico, complete with a little freckle on my nose that makes me extra special. These days, I truly enjoy being petted and have blossomed so much here at the sanctuary. I’m not quite a fan of being held yet, but who knows? With the right person and enough time, that could change.

I love spending time with visitors, especially the ones who come bearing spoons… aka treats. Sunshine naps are one of my favorite pastimes, and I greatly enjoy cat greens (you might call it catnip) when it’s brought to the sanctuary. Cozy beds are a must, and I absolutely adore other cats. I do best with feline friends, so I must go to a home with another cat. I even enjoy snuggling them.

I’m considered a special needs kitty because I’m FIV positive, but please don’t let that scare you. It truly isn’t something to fear, and the humans here would be more than happy to answer any questions you have when you come meet me. I recently had a dental cleaning too—so my smile is sparkling

You can visit me between 1–5pm to see if I’m meant to be part of your family. If you have patience, a kind heart, and maybe a spoon or two… I just might be your Autumn.

I have excellent litter box habits. My new perfect family NEEDS to understand that it WILL take me a while to adjust at first and I WILL hide as I settle in. Give me time, patience, and use food as a tool to get me out of my shell — I really am a wonderful cat.

I am fully vetted: spayed, microchipped, FIV positive, FeLV negative, treated for fleas/ticks/and intestinal parasites, and up-to-date on all my vaccinations. I require an indoor-only home and, as with all cats — absolutely no declawing.

If you are interested in adopting Autumn, please come visit… we are open daily from 1-5pm (including holidays)… we need to meet you in person! If you have any questions, feel free to email us at info@furballcats.com or message us on Facebook: Furball Farm Cat Sanctuary.
