Aurora's Story

dob 11/1/20

When we rescued Aurora from the rental unit she was abandoned in, she'd been without food and water for a week. Her microchip was dated 2020. so she's at least five. In her TC Paw foster home, she was shy and hissy at first, but she has since warmed up. She's very friendly...on her terms. When she's not in the mood to snuggle, she'll let you know with a vocal warning. The rest of the time, she is the most grateful cat her foster mom ever met, providing snuggles and thanks after meals to show how much she appreciates being taken care of. She loves wet food and having her head petted. Aurora gets along with the kids, ages 7-14, in her foster home but not so much with the aggressive cat, a male with no respect for others' comfort zones. She came in with another cat, so we think she would learn to get along with a calm cat after a proper introduction. Since sudden movements startle her, she'd like a home with older kids.
Aurora is a sweetheart who'll probably do best with someone who is experienced with cats. Her hissing and growling can be intimidating, but she has been through some trauma. We're confident this will stop when she is settled in her forever home.
Lots of love and a quiet space have solved behavioral issues so far. She just really needs space and time.

If you are interested in adopting this TC Paw cat or would like to set up a meet-and-greet, please complete the

Pre-adoption Application

.
