She was brought into FV just a few days into the clear-out of a cat hoarding situation. Several other mama cats had already been trapped and separated from their litters, leaving vulnerable kittens in need of care.<br/><br/>Auntie stepped up in the most incredible way. She gathered what appeared to be at least three different litters and cared for the kittens as if they were all her own. At one point, she was nursing seven kittens of different ages and stages, including tiny newborns who still had their umbilical cords attached. She went into foster care with her little brood and proved to be an incredibly attentive, nurturing, and generous mama.<br/><br/>Despite her dedication and supplemental feedings, sadly, not all of the kittens survived. But Auntie never stopped giving her all to the kittens who needed her. Eventually, the tiniest kittens went with their “Mama Tia” to another foster home while the larger kittens grew and weaned.<br/><br/>Now it’s Auntie’s turn to be cared for and loved. <br/><br/>At approximately 5 years old, Auntie is a sweet, loving girl who enjoys attention and, most importantly, loves being near her person. She wants to be part of your day, sit close by, and soak up all the pets she can get. She has such a gentle, affectionate personality and would love a home where she can finally be someone’s beloved companion—not just their caregiver.<br/><br/>After spending so much of her life caring for others, Auntie deserves to be spoiled. <br/><br/>If you're looking for a loving, affectionate companion who will happily stay close by and remind you how special she is, Auntie may be your girl!
