Aunt Mae's Story
Hi! My name is Aunt Mae. I am a 2-year-old, female, tabby cat with white! My sister, Aunt June, and I were abandoned at an apartment complex when our owner moved. We both became pregnant and were rescued and sent to a foster who could give us a safe place to give birth. I had a hard labor, and only one of my babies survived. Three weeks later, Aunt June delivered four healthy babies, with me by her side, helping with the delivery. Aunt June and I both raised and nursed all of the babies together, and adopted an orphaned baby, as well. We have been very attentive mothers and are now ready to retire together to a happy home. I experience "stranger danger" when people that I don't know come to the house. I am a bit shy at first, and sometimes I am a "spicy" girl, but once I warm up, I love pets and belly rubs. Aunt June is super friendly and affectionate. Will you give us the forever home that we've been waiting for? I am spayed, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, tested for FIV/FeLV (negative/negative), and have my microchip. If you are interested in making us a part of your family, please click on the following link to fill out an Adoption Application http://www.purringheartsva.org and a volunteer will reach out to you within 72 hours. We hope to hear from our forever family soon!
