Aunt Gladys's Story
Meet your new tiny boss… Aunt Gladys!

This little dilute calico tortie is about 3-4 years old, extremely cute, and extra confident in her boundaries. This kitty loves pets, but only on the very top of her head and chin. 🐾

We found her in a kind neighbor’s yard after she had a litter of kittens (single mom energy). When we rescued her, she had a very serious infection in her uterus (pyometra). Thanks to a lifesaving spay, she’s now fully healed and ready to rule a kingdom of her own.

This girl will beg for food. She will beg for attention. She will then immediately say, “Actually, not like that.” That’s tortitude, baby.

She loves sleeping in bed with her foster mom and dad. She is especially attached to being on foster dad’s lap day and night. She would probably be an ideal cat for a household with kids who will chase her and play with her, but also learn to accept her boundaries (normal for any cat, but she really does love kids). Her favorite play activities are hide and seek, and fetch the ball.

She prefers to be the only cat in the home but she does alright around quieter cats or in a larger home where she has plenty of space to take a break from the other cats. Oddly she seems to have a preference for ginger cats. Dogs will be tested on a case-by-case basis but our experience so far has been that she likes all dogs, big and small.

In summary:
✔️ Head pets and chin scratches only (she means it)
✔️ Solo-cat household recommended but not required
✔️ Food and attention enthusiast
✔️ Former street queen, now indoor diva
✔️ So cute you’ll forgive everything

Who can be mad at that face? Not us. Never. 😻

As with all cats at Butterscotch Castle, Aunt Gladys is spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, FIV/FeLV tested (negative), and current on her flea meds.

Adopt or foster princess Aunt Gladys today!

Fostering is FREE! We will provide all supplies and pay for all vet visits. Even a few weeks will help a ton. Aunt Gladys just wants the attention of her human without a bunch of other cats getting in the way. We would like to see how she does in a foster home with no other cats. She’s only been in fosters with
multiple cats so far and it seems to be causing her stress. Please reach out if you can foster even for a few weeks or a month as a solo.
