August's Story

Adopt August!

If you're looking for a big, handsome boy with an even bigger heart, August might be your guy! At 3–5 years old and nearly 16 pounds, this lovable chonker is definitely a substantial gentleman.

August is a very sweet and affectionate boy who loves his people and has plenty of love to give. He's also a sensitive soul who can become overwhelmed at times, so he's looking for someone who understands that sometimes he needs a little space and patience to reset. Once he feels comfortable and secure, his sweet personality really shines.

Because August can be easily overwhelmed, he'd do best in a cat-experienced home where his people understand feline body language and are willing to let him set the pace. A quieter household with older children would be ideal for him.

When it comes to other cats, August may prefer being your one-and-only, though he could potentially do well with another calm, easygoing kitty who won't overwhelm him.

August isn't asking for much—just a loving home, patient people, and the chance to feel safe and understood.
