Atlas's Story
In Greek mythology, Atlas was the god who held up the sky on his shoulders and personified patient endurance. And that summarizes Atlas' story! We think he was born in a commuter lot in Virginia; he grew up there, friendly and social, and he always sought out people for attention and affection. Atlas became a very sweet cat as his open, happy face portrays. He was rescued by a Good Samaritan, his current owner, and has been a warm and wonderful companion for her. Atlas loves ear scratches, playing with toys, sleeping at the foot of the bed, and food (not in order of importance). :) He likes to be where you are, getting pets, hair brushing, and kisses but is not a needy cat – he likes sleeping on the foot of the bed and sitting next to you but not on your lap. He’s also very smart – he figured out how the pull-string toy worked and does it on his own. So Atlas can literally run his own playtime. LOL. He may be a bit shy at first but it won't take long before he is out and about with you, and sleeping with his feet in the air as he loves to do.

Sadly, his rescuer can't keep him and so, although he does not belong to The Cats at Longstreet, we are listing him as a favor to his rescuer to let people know about this great guy. He has tested negative for FIV/FeLV, is vaccinated and neutered and is patiently waiting for someone to see how wonderful he is and finally give him a loving home of his own. Maybe yours?

Estimated DOB: 6/21/22
