Atlas’s story started with seven tiny kittens and a young mama cat who had been left behind when her owner moved away. She wandered to a neighboring home looking for help and did everything she could to care for her babies, but the situation wasn’t safe. One kitten had already been lost and they desperately needed somewhere safe to go.<br/><br/>Their young mama had been abandoned and was trying to care for seven kittens on her own. When she eventually stopped caring for them, the kittens were left frightened, unsocialized, and essentially feral.<br/><br/>Like his black-coated brothers, Atlas is a little more cautious when meeting new people. He likes to take a minute to watch, figure you out, and make sure everything feels safe before he fully lets his guard down.<br/><br/>But once he warms up? The rascal comes out. <br/><br/>Atlas loves to play, chase toys, wrestle with his siblings, and get himself into the kind of harmless kitten trouble that keeps everyone entertained. He has a curious, mischievous side that becomes more obvious the more comfortable he gets, and it’s been so rewarding watching his confidence grow.<br/><br/>He would do best with a family willing to give him a little patience at first and let him build trust at his own pace. Once he realizes he’s safe, you’ll get to see the playful, goofy little guy hiding underneath that cautious exterior.<br/><br/>Atlas may take a little time to choose you, but once he does, we have a feeling you’ll have a tiny partner in crime for life.<br/><br/><br/>Please note: Atlas is still too young for spay/neuter at this time. Their adoption includes a required future spay/neuter through True North Sanctuary, and the adoption will not be considered complete until the procedure has been performed.
