She was brought into the shelter with her babies. Atia has a lot of friends at the shelter, mostly Joey's crew. <br/><br/>Atia is still learning to trust people and struggles in loud environment when someone is trying to touch her without asking for her permission. She is still learning that hands can mean love, not fear. She's made big strides already and would thrive in a calm home with someone who understands the beauty of going slow.<br/><br/>She's looking for someone who understands that the best things in life take time -- a calm home, patience and understanding that she may need time to adjust.

Cozy Cat Cottage Adoption Center's Adoption Policy

All adopters must be 21 years of age and fill out an adoption application. A valid drivers license or government ID is required. An interview with an adoption counselor is mandatory to discuss the information on your application as well as to make sure the cat(s) you are interested in are a good fit. Once approved, fees are to be paid via cash or check and you must have a carrier to transport you new family member(s) home.
