Athena's Story
One word: WOW!! Meet Athena. Part Lioness, Part Moana.
Athena was found running back and forth across a busy road by a good Samaritan. She was drenched, filthy, starving and was brought to United Paws where she was given medical care, a warm bed and lots of good food. She had a persistent respiratory infection that almost got the best of her, but this little fighter, named after the Greek goddess of battle, is now thriving in her loving foster home.
When the foster was asked to describe Athena, the first description was “unbelievable.” The second word was “spitfire.” Athena is interested in everything around her. She loves to play, explore and often is quite content entertaining herself. Her favorite toys include anything attached to a wand, fuzzy mice, climbing structures, hiding tunnels, laser toys, and balls that can be batted around a track. Actually, there is no toy that Athena does not like!! With her unusual markings and energetic personality, this little kitten looks and acts like a chipmunk!
Athena has a very sweet other side. Her foster calls her “a lover, easy going, enjoying life.” Athena adores human contact and often insists on being “attached” to her human – jumping up on a shoulder, cuddling in a lap, being picked up and held like a baby. She can’t get enough!! The perfect adopter will be available to give Athena lots of attention, loving pets, and playtime. She is fearless and will do best in a home with potential playmates including friendly children, other cats or kittens, and a gentle dog with a proper introduction. More than anything, this sweet kitten is a survivor who deserves to be warm, safe, and loved. Are you ready to be blown away by this unbelievably wonderful kitten?
To learn more, please visit unitedpaws.org or schedule a Meet & Greet by emailing unitedpawshelp@gmail.com.
