Athena's Story
Please contact Della @ (kittycityks@aol.com) for more information about this pet.
Our adoption center is open both Saturday & Sunday every weekend!
Saturday's noon-5pm
&
Sunday's noon-4pm.

Athena is a young tortie female that came to Kitty City in rough shape. She had hair loss from excessive scratching and licking, scratching behind ears resulting in a large open wound on her neck, was underweight, had diarrhea and constant head shaking. Luckily, all of that resolved once the ear infection and ear mites were treated and she was removed from a stressful environment. Athena's coat is now gorgeous and soft. She loves people and attention and purrs a lot. She especially loves chasing feather wand toys. She does not mind being picked up, just not crazy about it as she is very squirmy and active since feeling so much better. Athena would fit in either with a family or a single person as long as she gets attention! A cat-friendly dog may be okay, too. She does not appear to be aggressive towards other cats, so a companion cat or two that she could play with should be fine.
Athena was born approximately May 30, 2024, and her adoption fee is $105, or adopt two and the second is one-half price. She is spayed, up-to-date on shots and deworming, has a microchip, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus.

You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens during weekend business hours at our adoption center, address and times above. During the week, all our kitties live in licensed foster homes, and while most do come to the adoption center each weekend, not every kitty attends every weekend. For more information, or to confirm whether a particular cat or kitten will be present that weekend, please email kittycityks@aol.com. Kitty City Kansas Rescue is a volunteer, non-profit organization.
