Athena started life dodging cars and hiding in the drainage pipes under the parking lot of an apartment complex, until she and her two sisters were trapped and sent to foster. Mom was too wild to adopt, but we made sure she was spayed so there would be no more kittens.<br/><br/>The scary circumstances that Athena began life in caused her to be a more cautious cat, and she takes time to warm up to new situations and people. She is hoping to find an indoor home where she can feel safe and loved, with someone patient enough to help her blossom.<br/><br/>Athena very much enjoys the company of other cats and wants to have have a friend in her new home. [We operate on donations; adoption fees help only to offset the cost of vet care.
