Athena's Story

Meet Athena! She’s around 3 years old and is part Abyssinian. She was brought to the rescue as a stray and immediately was an extremely approachable and friendly cat. She is brave and likes to meet new people. She purrs and rubs for affection. She likes to follow her foster parent around and purr for attention. She loves sitting in the sun and a good reading chair. She likes having many options for scratching posts and beds. Since she was an outdoor cat she is nervous around other cats and she needs to be a solo cat. She is spayed, micro chipped and FIV and feline leukemia negative. She will make an amazing addition to someone who wants a sweet, beautiful and affectionate cat.

If you would like to add this stunning girl to your home, please fill in an adoption consultation form through our website: DesertPawsRescue.org

It is the policy of Desert Paws Rescue that all potential cat adopters complete a Cat Adoption Consultation Form and an interview with a Desert Paws representative in order to be considered as a forever home for our cats and kittens. Completion of the application and interview process does not guarantee an adoption approval or guarantee the adoption of a particular cat or kitten. Desert Paws Rescue is a privately run, all-volunteer, non-profit organization and reserves the right to refuse any adoption that is not in the best interest of the cat or kitten, based on our principles, policies, and standards. Desert Paws Rescue will determine the best home for each cat or kitten based on the application and interview process. After review of the adoption consultation form and the completion of the interview with a Desert Paws representative, Desert Paws Rescue may recommend a different cat or kitten that is more suitable to your household.
