Athena's Story

**This animal is behind the scenes and cannot be viewed during animal viewing hours.**

Meet Athena, a little goddess on a journey to find her forever home!

Athena came to us from another organization and is now ready to begin the next chapter of her journey. While she can be a little apprehensive when meeting new people, give her some time and patience, and you'll start to see her confidence grow. She's the kind of girl who needs a little encouragement before she's ready to let her personality shine.

Athena has a soft spot for baby talk and may come over when she hears that sweet voice calling her! She's also intrigued by play and is beginning to discover that toys can be pretty interesting, although she'll need some time to build her confidence and fully embrace her playful side. With a patient family willing to let her set the pace, Athena has the potential to blossom into a wonderful companion.

Like her namesake goddess of wisdom, Athena knows that good things are worth taking the time to discover. If you're looking for a sweet girl who just needs some time, patience, and plenty of encouragement to come out of her shell, Athena may be the goddess for you!
