Athena's Story

Athena is a beautiful 1.75-year-old tuxedo. She is vivacious and playful- and a little too much fun for her current housemate cat. She might adore being the only cat of the household with humans that can spend lots of quality time with her and be involved in her high-energy playtime (think games of chase between you and her, and hide and seek :)

She also finds great contentment in solo activities that involve bugs, vigilantly monitoring the window for bugs, and trilling her mighty trill to the nearest bugs – a challenge to approach her glass pane. She is a wild huntress... of bugs. And stuffed pufferfish.

She may require a little patience from her new home during the transition process. She will be shy at first, but she’ll be lolling around the house, tackling giant pufferfish toys and dropping her ‘prey’ at your feet with adorable trills and squeaks.

Athena is chatty; she chats with you when she sees you, when you arrive home, when she’s hungry and when she wants to play. She loves to converse with you and is a wonderful communicator without being demanding. And Athena relishes snuggle time. She’ll cuddle with you while making blanket biscuits- on the couch or in bed. She’ll curl up with you until she’s done and then she’ll escort herself to her favorite nearest tall perch for a looooong nap.

Athena is fixed, tested, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations; and her adoption includes her favorite cat tree, toys, food, litter box and other fun accessories to facilitate her transition to a new home.

For adoption info, call Kristin (805) 550-9064

*Athena is in the care of a private household in San Luis Obispo; Feline Network is assisting with her rehoming.
