We think he's worth it!<br/><br/>Meet Aslan – A Quiet Soul Learning to Trust<br/><br/>Aslan is a beautiful 2-year-old male cat with a gentle heart who is slowly discovering what it means to feel safe and loved. He was one of 15 cats rescued from a hoarding situation, and because he did not receive normal socialization with people early in life, he is still quite shy.<br/><br/>Despite his difficult start, Aslan has shown what a sweet and gentle boy he truly is. He has never bitten or scratched his caregivers and will even allow gentle pets. While he isn’t quite ready to approach his foster mom on his own yet, each day he grows a little more comfortable with the people caring for him.<br/><br/>Aslan does well around other cats and seems to peacefully coexist with them, so a home with a calm feline friend may help him continue building confidence. He has excellent litter box manners and is not a picky eater.<br/><br/>Aslan is looking for a patient and understanding adopter who will give him the time he needs to blossom. Trust may take a few weeks—or longer—but for someone willing to let him progress at his own pace, the reward will be watching this shy boy slowly discover the joy of a safe, loving home.<br/><br/>A quiet household without a lot of noise or activity would be ideal for Aslan. Because he startles easily, a home without young children would likely be best. He has not been exposed to dogs.<br/><br/>If you believe that every cat deserves a chance and you have the patience to help a shy cat come out of his shell, Aslan may be the perfect companion for you.<br/><br/>You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt from us. We accept online/electronic credit or debit card pre-payments for adoptions (no cash).<br/><br/>NOTE: Please do not ask us to HOLD a cat/kitten for you. Our space is very limited as we don't have a facility. <br/><br/>Laurel Cats does not have a shelter or storefront. Our kittens and cats are placed in the homes of loving volunteer fosters until they are adopted. This means our cats are accustomed to being handled and loved.
