Happy Holidays! Winter came early this year & so did the cold & snow. We desperately need to make room to get even MORE Moms, kittens and other cats in from the freezing temps & get them fixed, so they don't have to suffer. We get multiple calls for help everyday but can only help more when more we have get homes. <br/>Please consider adopting! And tell your friend to adopt too! <br/>Our adoption rates have been down so we are hoping everyone wants to give a kitty a home this year! We still have lots of kittens & some of our older cats are hoping for a Christmas miracle...a home! Remember, adopting saves TWO lives! Adopting one cat will free up a cage so we can help another. I'm so grateful I didn't have to endure another season of hot weather on the streets with my kittens. If I hadn't been brought in, by now I would be struggling, raising my second litter of kittens without food or clean water. Now, I'm safe inside (my kittens are too!) and I don't have to worry about the weather or lack of food anymore. I also won't have to worry about having more kittens anymore either! Now it's time for me to relax, enjoy life and find my forever home! I missed so much of being a carefree kitten, constantly focused on survival! All I want now is to catch up on cuddles and play, to truly know what it's like to be safe and cherished. I'm a little older, but I still have lots of energy and I love to play! I love pets too! I'm just so happy to be inside and being loved. My kittens (The Cheese kittens) aren't adopted yet, but I know they will all get loving homes too! I'm lucky someone helped me and my kittens and got us off the streets to live the indoor life! Hopefully I can find my forever home soon too! <br/><br/>I was at the shelter, but now I'm at PetSmart in Valparaiso IN so come and meet me! I'm waiting among the many kitties hoping for their forever homes, so please come by to see me! I get along with other cats, so a feline friend would be nice for company, but probably no dogs. Our volunteers work with shy and/or unsocialized kitties everyday to gain their trust to show them they are safe and no one will hurt them. However, when the kitties go to a new home, some will require extra time to get used to new surroundings and different people. Please consider giving a kittie who might need a little time to get used to a new home, a chance. This is a serious commitment and it sets the kitties back in their level of trust if they are given up after a few weeks or months.
