Asher's Story
Asher is a young kitten who came to us through a TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) project. We always do our best to give kittens—and even adults—a chance at indoor life if they show even a spark of interest. After weeks of gentle effort, Asher was still very scared, and we made the difficult decision to prepare to return her to her original colony, where a dedicated feeder would continue to care for her.

We brought her out, carrier in hand, food placed nearby (because Asher looooves to eat...). We opened the door. Nothing. Closed it a bit. Talked. Opened it again. More discussion. And then it hit us.

Cats who are healthy and socialized often struggle to get adopted. Imagine how hard it would be for one who isn't there yet. The same is true for fosters who just need more time.

We believe that if a cat can be safe and cared for indoors, they deserve that chance. So we scooped Asher back up and brought her home.

Since then, Asher has been slowly but steadily learning to trust. She's discovering how fun interactive toys can be, beginning to play with humans, and gaining confidence by watching and engaging with other cats and kittens. She's curious, thoughtful, and braver than she's ever been—and she's still learning every day.

Asher needs a patient, understanding foster-to-adopt home willing to continue her socialization journey at her pace. With time, consistency, and kindness, she has the potential to truly blossom.

Asher is approximately 5 months old and is:

Spayed

Vaccinated

Microchipped

Dewormed

FIV/FeLV negative

Are you the special person who can give Asher the time and love she needs?
