Meet Asher! Born in August 2021, this handsome tan tabby has been with us since he was just a tiny kitten—and he has been patiently waiting five long years for a forever home of his own. He’s grown up in our care, and while we love him dearly, what he truly needs is a family to call his own. Asher is a shy, sensitive boy who takes time to feel safe in new surroundings. He may quietly observe from a distance at first, but bring out the treats and you’ll see his sweet personality peek through! Treats are the way to his heart, and he’ll happily come over for a snack and gentle attention. Asher prefers affection on his own terms and does not enjoy being held. He feels safest with all four paws on the ground. In a calm, patient home that allows him time to adjust and build trust, his confidence may continue to grow. With understanding and consistency, he has the potential to blossom even more. He would do best in a quiet indoor-only home where he can feel secure and loved. Asher must never be declawed—he deserves to feel safe and protected as a cherished member of the family. Asher is microchipped, neutered, dewormed, combo tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia, and up to date on all vaccinations. Bulverde Area Humane Society's Adoption Policy

Our adoption procedure begins with the completion of the Adoption Contract, which can be downloaded on our website at www. bulverdeareahumanesociety.com Your new friend will be ready for their new home after review by one of our Adoption Counselors. All of our animals are spayed/neutered prior to adoption and have been tested for heartworm or feline leukemia / aids. They all have their age appropriate vaccinations. All puppies, dogs & kittens are microchipped. If you're considering adopting a dog who will join one already in your home. We encourage Meet and Greets. Visiting dogs must be spayed or neutered and have proof of current vaccinations. Talk to a staff member about scheduling your Meet and Greet session before coming out with your dog.
