Ash's Story

Ash and her sisters were living large on the streets. I believe they were handled and loved as baby kittens and then discarded.
Ash's sisters are very obnoxious attention hounds. She is VERY shy and can be a bit aggressive if she feels cornered. But she does enjoy and reaches out for attention when she can get in between those dumb sisters. She will need patience and space, but I have a feeling that she will come around to be a loving, affectionate kitty as she matures.
Luckily Ash is VERY food motivated. This is how they were finally caught by a wonderful person in the neighborhood who couldn't stand to see more homeless kittens.
Ash has been exposed to our dogs and is not interested but doesn't care for too much attention from them.
Ash is not a cat for children. If she feels too much pressure, she can reach out and scratch. I believe she will get better as life goes on.
Ash has been living out in the big house for several weeks now and still retreats to the comfort of the bathroom. But she has done much more exploring than her sisters and loves being out and about. She was the first to climb the cat tree and stake out a spot to look out of the window. Still, a nice safe space for her to call her own will be helpful with her introduction to a new home.
