Ash's Story
FERAL-EXPERIENCED HOME OR BARN CAT

Meet Ash.
Ash came to us thanks to a kind samaritan who had been feeding him outdoors and wanted to keep him safe from the cold weather.

Because Ash spent much of his life outside, the indoor world and humans are still very unfamiliar to him. This sudden change has been overwhelming, and Ash is extremely fearful at this time. He will hiss, try to create distance, and may attempt to get away when he feels scared. This behavior is fear-based and not aggression.

Ash is not a typical house cat and may never be. He will need a very experienced and patient home that understands feral or under-socialized cats and is willing to move at his pace. It may take months or longer for Ash to feel comfortable, and physical affection may never be part of his journey. With time, consistency, and respect for his boundaries, Ash could learn to coexist in a quiet home, or he may thrive best in a barn cat or working cat role where he can live safely with minimal human interaction.

Ash's ideal adopter understands feline body language, respects space, and values giving a cat a safe life even if that bond looks different than expected.
