Arya's Story
Meet Arya, or Ary, a very demure, very mindful male cat with a lot of love to give! He is approximately 1 year old.

Arya is a medium-haired tuxedo cat. Originally believed to be a girl, he was named after Arya Stark. He was discovered to be a boy when he was neutered. He is an absolute sweetheart who is both very quiet and very gentle. He loves to play with feather toys, laze around in a cat tree, and peek around corners to see what you're up to. His favorite things include churu and toys he can bat with his paws.

Likely due to an infection when he was a kitten, Arya has had to go to the vet a couple times to get his lungs looked at as he can struggle to breathe when stressed. To combat this, Arya has been receiving nebulizer treatments with an antibiotic for his lungs as well as being taken into a steamy bathroom to help his lungs fully inflate. So far, his health has improved, but he still lives with a collapsed lung lobe. While in foster, Arya has played and cuddled and acted as any healthy cat would, but it’s important for future adopters to be aware of his lung issues and maintain a calm environment for him.

What Arya’s looking for in a home:

- He's new to indoor life with humans, so he needs a kind and patient guide to help him continue adjusting. Loud noises, fast movements, and strangers make him nervous.
- He has lots of energy and will benefit from plenty of active play time.
- He feels at ease in a quiet and calm environment.
- He needs to live indoors only.
- He has a positive history with other cats and may like having a feline friend close to his age.
- He has no known history with dogs.
- He has no known history with children.
- He may need antibiotic for his lung infection.

All Alley Cat Project’s cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated prior to adoption.

Thank you for your interest in adopting Arya! If your household fits the above criteria, you can apply to adopt him by filling out this questionnaire: https://bit.ly/ACPAdoptionForm

Only applicants who complete the questionnaire will be considered. Please do not submit an inquiry through Petfinder, as it will not replace the questionnaire. Many of our cats receive numerous applications, and we thank you for your patience while we review applications and find the best match.

Please do not follow up on your application by phone or email as this will not expedite a response. As a 100% volunteer-run organization, we appreciate your understanding.
