Artemis's Story

Artemis is ready for her own forever home after bravely raising a litter of kittens. She is a beautiful, resilient cat who is looking for a patient human to help her navigate her new life.

Artemis' time outdoors as a protective mother taught her to be cautious. She is still learning that the world is a safe place. If she feels overwhelmed, she may hide, but her curiosity almost always wins out. Once she feels secure, she'll begin to explore and spend time near her humans. She is a cat who values clear communication; if you watch her closely, you'll learn exactly when she is comfortable and what she needs. With time, we are confident she will continue to grow into a true cuddler who actively seeks out her favorite person.

Artemis has an incredibly soft coat that she absolutely loves to have brushed. She will thank you for helping her manage all that fluff! While she is learning to trust, she will reach out for attention, though she is still discovering how to accept it with full confidence.

She's a playful girl! She loves wand toys, catnip, coil springs, crinkle balls, and cat pillows. Sometimes she needs a little extra encouragement to come out into the open, but a few favorite toys and a tasty treat are all it takes to get her excited and engaged.

Artemis would likely be happiest as an only pet where she doesn't have to compete for attention or territory.

If you have a quiet, loving home and the patience to help a brave mama cat find her inner peace, Artemis is waiting to meet you!

DOB: 4/28/25

All cats are altered, microchipped, dewormed and given age appropriate vaccinations.

PLEASE NOTE: We do not have a physical shelter, therefore all our cats reside in foster homes. Urban Cat Coalition's Adoption Policy
Adoption Process We are a best match rescue. Our goal is to match the individual pet to where we feel they would be most successful. It is not necessarily first-come, first-served for approved applications. After selecting a cat or kitten you are interested, or if you intend to adopt a cat chosen by our match makers, an application is filled out. Application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/UCC/Cat The Urban Cat Coalition adoption team will perform background checks, veterinarian reference checks and landlord checks. Once the application review process is complete, you will be contacted by one of our match makers and then you will be put in touch with the foster home to arrange a meet and greet (virtual or in-person) with the kitty you want to adopt. Once you have met the kitty, you and the foster home will decide if it is a good fit. After this step, we have a 24 hour hold to allow you time to be sure adopting is the right decision. The foster family will stay in touch, and they will arrange the final adoption, provide a contract to sign and they will give you the physical copies of the cats medical records. Once they return the contract to our admin, we will email you digital copies of all medical records and register the microchip to you. Please note applicants must be at least 21 years of age to be eligible for adopting a cat from Urban Cat Coalition. Adoption fees: • Kittens (Under 7 months) $165 or $305 for two kittens. • Adults (7 months and over) $85 Services included in the adoption fees: - FVRCP Vaccines (appropriate for age of kitten/cat) - Rabies Booster if over 5 months old (Good for 1 year from date given) - Preventative Dewormer - Checked for fleas and ticks - Spay/Neuter - Microchip with lifetime membership
