Artemis's Story
Artemis is a gorgeous little, young tuxedo girl with a celestial name and a heart full of wonder. She arrived at our shelter alongside her brother, Arlo, after being transferred from an overcrowded facility. Arlo has already been adopted and now it's Artemis's time to shine!

Like the moon goddess she's named after-and the ambitious NASA mission reaching for the stars-Artemis is curious, independent and full of potential. She loves to pounce on toys, scale cat trees like a space explorer and curl up in the sun like she's charging her solar panels. Her playful energy and endless curiosity are everything you'd expect from a young kitten just beginning her journey.

A Note About Her Health:
You may notice that Artemis has a health waiver in her file. She tested FIV+ (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), which we know can sound concerning at first-but here's what that really means:
* FIV is not contagious to people or dogs.
* It is typically spread between outdoor cats through deep bite wounds.
* Kittens can test positive due to their mothers. As she grows, there's a chance that antiobodies from her mother may result in FIV negative status in the future.

Our adoption consultant will walk you through everything you need to know and answer any questions. The most important thing to know is this: FIV+ cats can live long, healthy, love-filled lives with regular vet care, a safe indoor home and lots of affection just like any other cat.

Artemis isn't just a name-it's a promise. A promise of adventure, beauty and a love that's written in the stars.

The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. No appointments are needed during those times. If you are not available during those times, special arrangements for a meet and greet may be able to be arranged by emailing arfcats@bereaanimalrescue.com. Thank you for considering the adoption of a shelter animal in need!
