Artemis's Story

***Artemis was found wandering alone in a park by a kind person, and began her journey to find a home where she can settle at last to love and cuddle her people. She will be fine as a single pet, or she can live quite peaceably with other mature, friendly cats.

Meet Artemis, a gentle and affectionate older lady who is ready to spend her golden years in a loving forever home. At 10+ years old, Artemis is the definition of a cuddle bug — she absolutely lives for quiet snuggles and quality time with her humans. She’ll happily curl up beside you on the couch or nestle into your arms for a cozy nap.

Artemis is a larger cat with a bigger heart to match. She’s on a special diet to lose weight and is doing wonderfully with the new diet. She’s eating less wet food because she didn’t like the specialty wet food, so she’s eating kibbles to help her lose weight. Her fur is in excellent condition, and she does not mind taking baths. She cleans herself where she can.

She’s such a sweet cat, and she gets along with other cats though she definitely prefers human company. She’s cuddly, likes to take naps next to her foster, enjoys her walkabouts, and playing with string toys. All that activity is helping her to trim down, and Artemis is perfectly happy to trail after her humans and padding her step counts every day! She’s looking for someone who can spend a lot of time with her, though she does not complain about being alone.

This sweet senior girl would thrive in a calm, quiet home where she can enjoy a soft bed, some gentle affection, and lots of love. Artemis has so much to give — and she’s hoping for someone who sees just how special a senior cat can be. If you're looking for a calm, loving companion who will return your kindness tenfold, Artemis is ready to be your best friend.

Would you like to make Artemis a part of your family? Please complete our online application found at: https://www.avacats.org/adoption-application-form.

Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines (initial FVRCP and rabies), flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping.

Adoption fees are $200 for senior cat 10 year or older. Final adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.
