Ares's Story
Meet Ares!
Ares is a very fitting name for this cat, as you will see. He is a 4 year old neutered Domestic Shorthair cat. He came to us as a stray, and his finder said he had been seen near her house for some time, leading us to believe he was someone's outdoor cat that wandered a little too far.
Ares tends to change his mood, and can be a little unpredictable. With some people he's super affectionate, letting them hold him and love on him. At other ties, though, he doesn't want to be messed with, and will get angry if the wrong person tries to handle him. With his mood swings, we will not allow him to live in a home with any children, as we don't want to risk them getting hurt for trying to play. Honestly, we think Ares would do great as a barn or shop cat, as that would give him the independence he seeks while allowing him to get attention on his own terms. He's used to living a more solo life, so we don't think he'd mind getting to continue his bachelor lifestyle. We have never seen how Ares does around dogs or other cats, but if he's allowed his own space where he can get away from any potentially annoying siblings, we don't think he'd have too much of an issue co-existing.
Ares is ready to get out of a kennel, and back to a place where can stretch his legs! If you're looking for a mouser or something of the like, come check out Ares today!
