Apricot's Story

Little Miss Apricot!

This little lady is absolutely delightful! Sadly, Apricot has been with us for a few months now after her guardian could no longer care for her. We believe this petite queen is around 10 or 11 years old, and she has so much love left to give.

And there is something VERY interesting about Apricot... she is obsessed with chicken legs! That’s right—actual chicken legs that have been boiled! We know chicken alone doesn’t provide a cat with everything she needs nutritionally, so we’ve added taurine and have been mixing the chicken with regular chicken-flavored wet cat food. And guess what? She’s eating the mixture!

That’s a very promising step, and we’re hopeful we can eventually transition this little lady to eating straight cat food. But we have to admit... Apricot REALLY loves those chicken legs!

Beyond her quirky culinary preferences, Apricot is simply wonderful. She is petite, has the softest fur, loves attention, and will happily follow you wherever you go. She sounds like the perfect companion for someone looking for a sweet girl to cuddle up with on the couch and watch a movie.

Apricot appears to prefer being the only feline in the household, where she can soak up all the love and attention she deserves.

Could you be the one to give this beautiful queen her happily ever after? Come meet Little Miss Apricot!

For more information and instructions on how to apply, please visit https://thepetrefuge.org/adopt/ Completing an adoption application is always the first step. Shelter visits are by appointment only and available to applicants whose applications have been approved.

We also invite you to follow us on social media: Facebook at Pet Refuge, TikTok @petrefugenk and Instagram @petrefugeri
