Apricot (bonded with Kippy)'s Story

PLEASE NOTE: You must complete an ADOPTION APPLICATION in order to receive a response. https://www.homeatlastrescue.ca/adoption-form/, or click on the "MORE ABOUT HOME AT LAST RESCUE" button in the bottom right for a direct link.

Apricot is a sweet, easygoing girl who lives to play! Apricot is starting to blossom in her foster home, where she loves routine. She is especially happy during brushing time, where she never says no to Churu, and will happily sit on your lap while she enjoys both. Playtime is her favourite part of the day! She loves every toy, from wand feathers and tunnels to lasers, spinning toys, springs, catnip, and squeaky mice. She is happy to play on her own, while the others chill. Her adorable little squeal-chirp meow always brings a smile. When she’s not playing, she likes to lounge in a cat tree hammock or sit up high to watch birds and squirrels with one of her sisters. While she’s not a traditional lap cat, she enjoys gentle handling and is becoming more comfortable every day - even slowly allowing belly rubs. Apricot is great with other cats but she MUST be adopted with her sister, Kippy by someone who enjoys keeping up her brushing and treat routine and help her confidence continue to grow.

Apricot came to us from a barn, where she was ear-tipped as part of a TNR program. But it was soon discovered that Apricot and her sisters are much too friendly to live a life in a barn or outdoors!

Apricot is looking for a home with other cats, a consistent routine, and people who enjoy gentle bonding through play, brushing, and treats. With the right setup, her confidence will continue to grow, and her sweet, playful personality will continue to flourish.

As we often receive numerous applications for each cat or kitten, we will only contact applicants who best suit the needs of the cat or kitten. For example, if it is stipulated that the cat needs another cat buddy at home and you do not have one, you may not receive a response. Finding the best home for our cat or kitten is our top priority. Applications are not first-come, first-served.
