Apple Seed's Story

Apple Seed was found at a construction site with Bean Bag and Cat-cus (who has been adopted). Bean Bag's face was covered in blood and Apple Seed had an upper respiratory infection that was so bad he could not breathe. We quickly ran them both to the vet. Bean Bag had a broken jaw and, although, he appeared to be only 3 months old in size, was actually as old as Apple Seed--seven months old. The boys are now about a year and a half old. The two, we think, are brothers, as they look exactly alike. Bean Bag is the "Mini Me" version of Apple Seed. Cat-cus was in the best shape of the three. We actually think she may be their mom as she was about a year old and her uterus was a mess when she was spayed, showing that she had had at least one litter of kittens. Bean Bag's broken jaw was due to some type of trauma (some of the workers had been threatening to kill him with a shovel, but we hope that is not the case). Bean Bag's jaw has been repaired, but due to whatever hit him, he will be partially blind in his right eye. He gets around great, however. These are the friendliest cats alive and they love each other. We would like to keep Bean Bag and Apple Seed together, as Cat-cus was just adopted into a wonderful home. They were so happy to be reunited after being apart for various medical care. They are now with each other in foster care. Bean Bag can do everything Apple Seed can and was even trying to eat and play with toys in his mouth while his jaw was broken. He is a survivor. Apple Seed is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and tested negative for feline leukemia/FIV. He has also been dewormed and treated for fleas. If you would like to adopt Apple Seed and Bean Bag, please download an application from our web site, www.bandocats.org and either email it back to us or fax it to 614-873-0972. This little family is just so happy to be alive.
