Apple's Story

Apple and Cider are brother and sister from the same litter, born in September 2021. Both kitties are EXTREMELY sweet, gentle, and loving. They were rescued at 3 days old from a backyard in Ocean Hill, Brooklyn, hand-raised from the beginning of their lives. This likely shaped their personalities to be tolerant of and affectionate toward people. They have never bitten, scratched, or shown any outward aggression, even when their human brother is being rough. Both love being pet and cuddled and will present their bellies for tummy rubs and scratches. They are happiest cuddled up next to you or snoozing on something soft. They enjoy laser pointers, strings, and pom pom balls. Apple (female, black nose) is bolder than Cider (male, pink nose), but once Cider is comfortable with a person, he is a wonderful snuggle buddy. They use scratching posts/boards diligently. They are comfortable traveling by car for long distances; however, Toa may need motion sickness meds if the roads are very twisty.<br/>They are neutered, microchipped, and up to date on their vaccinations. They have no health issues and share one litterbox. They eat wet food 2x/day and get squeeze treats at night. They shed so they are brushed regularly with a FURminator and tolerate grooming gloves. They are fine getting their nails clipped! Most recent wellness visit was 11/2025.
