APPLE CIDER's Story

If you like your apple cider with a little bit of a spice to it, try it in cat form! Two-year-old Apple Cider arrived as a terrified stray exactly 111 days ago. She had her guard up for a long time -- not letting anyone get close to her even just to access the cats in the kennel above hers. With time, patience, repeated interactions with staff and volunteers, and a little Churu, Apple Cider has come a long way! She absolutely loves to play with string toys and will now lean in for head pets! There are times, of course, when she plays with someone's hands instead of the toy, and she's not shy about letting our clinic staff know when she doesn't want to be bothered, so that's where the spice comes in! Being in the shelter has been stressful for her since the day she arrived, and Apple Cider would likely finally be able to relax a little if she landed a forever home of her own. Come meet Apple Cider today in our Cat Adopt room, and feel free to engage her in a little play with the string toy! If you dig her sweet-but-spicy flavor, bring her home! We're not sure if Apple Cider has lived with dogs before. We recommend slow introductions. Because Apple Cider has a bit of spice to her, we recommend a home with older children, teens/adults. Apple Cider may do well with another cat. We recommend slow introductions once she's acclimated to her new home. Apple Cider is 2 years old and weighs about 9 pounds. She's been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.
