Apollo's Story

Meet Apollo!

Let’s address the obvious right away, this guy is not winning any beauty contests. Our sweet (and at times grumpy) gentleman had to have his nose removed after developing squamous cell carcinoma. The result is a very unique face that only a true cat lover could appreciate. But if you can see past appearances, you will find a cat with a surprisingly big personality and a soft spot for affection.

We estimate that he is about 6 to 8 years old, and he definitely has the energy of a middle-aged man who has seen some things. He likely spent time living on the streets before coming into rescue, but he is clearly well socialized with people and knows the comforts of indoor life.

His personality is best described as grumpy sweetheart. He may give you a skeptical look or grumble about your life choices, but he absolutely melts for foot pets and attention once he decides you are acceptable company. When he is in the mood, he can be very sweet and enjoys hanging out near his people.

He is litter box trained, has good house manners, and does reasonably well with other cats when introductions are handled properly.

This guy is not looking for perfection. He is looking for someone who appreciates a scruffy survivor with character. Someone who understands that the best cats are sometimes the weird ones.

If you have room in your heart for a slightly grumpy, extremely unique little man who just wants a safe place to land, he might be your guy.

With questions or to setup a meet and greet contact Jessica at 402-996-0968.
