Annie's Story

Annie is a gorgeous girl who would love to have a home of her own. She likes respectful pets when she wants them and likes when people understand when she doesn't.

Annie can have the "Torti-tude" often associated with tortis--she can be sassy and is finicky about being handled, so she needs a home with folks who are willing to follow her lead when it comes to socialization. With this in mind, we are not comfortable placing Annie in a home with smaller children, for the safety of both Annie and the human kiddos.

Annie is around 14 years old as of 9/19/23 and takes a twice-daily medication for hyperthyroidism as well as an immunity support powder. Administering medication to Annie is challenging, even for those of us here who have been medicating cats for decades. Because of this, we are seeking not only a cat-savvy home for Annie, but one with a guardian who is very experienced with administering oral medications to cats...we know it's a tall order, but we still believe there is hope that Annie will find her perfect people!

Annie would need a home that is open to allowing her to be exactly who she is and is fine with her approaching life at her own pace.

The adoption fee for a single cat is $125 and includes distemper vaccine, rabies, dewormer, flea treatment, spay/neuter, FeLV/FIV Combo test and microchip.

If you would like to potentially adopt this cat please either email catadoption@lunashouse.org for more information or complete the application online using the link on the main adoptable cats page on the website.
