Angus's Story

😺 Meet Angus - The Gentle Soul Learning to Love 🖤

Angus is an almost 5-year-old neutered male with the softest long fur and a heart that's slowly beginning to heal. He came to us in 2023 after being surrendered from an unsuitable living situation, where he, sadly, missed the most important part of a cat's development: early socialization with humans.

Because of this, Angus is naturally shy and cautious, but he's made incredible progress. Every day, he's learning to trust--and once you earn that trust, he'll gift you with the sweetest purrs, gentle headbutts, and quiet companionship. 💛

🩺 During his intake, Angus tested FIV positive (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). FIV affects a cat's immune system, but many FIV+ cats live long, healthy lives with proper care, a stress-free indoor home, and regular vet checkups. It's not easily spread and typically only transmitted through serious bite wounds--so FIV+ cats can often live with FIV-negative cats peacefully, especially in calm homes.

🏡 Angus would do best in a quiet home with no young children or dogs, as he's still adjusting to human affection and routine home life. He may actually benefit from having a calm, friendly resident kitty to show him the ropes.

🐾 What Angus truly needs is a patient, loving family who understands that some hearts take longer to open--but when they do, the bond is absolutely beautiful.

Could you be the one to help Angus finally settle down and feel safe?

📍Come meet Angus and give him the chance he's been waiting for. His forever family is out there--we just know it. 💫

#AdoptAngus #FIVCatAwareness #ShyCatsNeedLoveToo #SecondChancesMatter #AdoptDontShop
